Studio Sessions

Simple, intentional, and softly guided

Studio sessions take place in a quiet, minimal environment designed to reduce distraction and allow space for connection. With controlled light and a calm pace, these sessions are gently directed and thoughtfully composed, offering a more structured experience than outdoor or documentary work while still preserving warmth and presence.

The studio is intentionally intimate. We prioritize the closeness of a seated embrace over the formality of standing portraits. This allows us to move slowly and attentively, creating images that feel balanced, timeless, and deeply personal.

Studio sessions are especially well-suited for newborns, baby milestones, and families who value simplicity, calm, and refined storytelling.

About the Studio Space

The studio is intentionally intimate. Sessions are centered on seated interaction, closeness, and connection rather than full-length standing portraits. This creates a calmer environment and imagery that feels quiet, honest, and deeply personal.

A slow, attentive beginning

Studio Newborn sessions are designed to honor the earliest days with care and intention. With extended time built in, these sessions move at your baby’s pace, allowing space for feeding, soothing, and rest without rushing.

Studio Milestone

Small moments, beautifully held

Studio Milestone sessions are designed for babies and children, focusing on personality, curiosity, and connection in a simple, distraction-free space. We focus on the small, fleeting details: the way they hold their toes, the curl of their hair, and the quiet curiosity in their eyes.

These sessions are short and gentle, making them ideal for little ones with limited attention spans. We focus on natural expressions, quiet interaction, and the small details that define this fleeting stage.

Studio Legacy

Connection, preserved with care

In the quiet of the studio, the world falls away. Studio Legacy sessions are an unrushed experience created for families who want their story documented with depth and intention. With additional time and flexibility, these sessions allow for both stillness and movement, laughter and quiet, as connection naturally unfolds. The session is designed to capture the weight of a child in your lap, the brush of a cheek, and the stillness that is only found when we are close together.

While gently guided, this experience offers room for children to warm up and families to settle in, creating a gallery that feels layered, honest, and complete.

Studio Session FAQ

What is the studio environment like?

The studio is calm, minimal, and softly lit. It’s designed to feel quiet and unhurried, with a focus on comfort, especially for newborns and young babies.

Are these sessions fully posed?

Studio sessions are more guided than outdoor or documentary sessions, but still gentle. Posing is slow and intentional, allowing room for natural connection and rest as needed.

Is the studio best for newborns only?

Studio sessions are especially well-suited for posed newborn photography, but they can also work beautifully for milestone portraits or families who prefer a quieter, more controlled setting.

What should we wear for our session?

Simple, neutral clothing photographs best in the studio. After booking, you’ll receive guidance to help you choose pieces that feel comfortable and timeless without being overly styled.

How many images will we receive?

Each collection includes a generous number of fully hand-edited images. I focus on delivering a complete visual story, not just a set number.

You’ll receive the moments you felt and the ones you didn’t even realize were happening.

For minimum photo deliverables, please check the package descriptions.

When will our gallery be ready?

Your gallery will be delivered within 3–4 weeks. During peak seasons, timelines may extend slightly, but you will always be informed in advance.

Every image is edited with care, consistency, and intention .

Do you offer prints and albums?

Yes. Your gallery will include access to heirloom-quality prints and albums created to last.

Purchasing physical items is not required, but they are one of the most meaningful ways to let your photographs live beyond a screen.

Do you photograph extended families?

Yes, on a limited basis. Extended family sessions are offered in my Legacy package. These sessions require additional planning and shooting time to ensure the experience still feels calm and unrushed.

How far in advance should we book?

Most families book 2–4 months in advance, especially for peak fall and spring seasons. Availability is intentionally limited each month so I can serve each family well.

How do we book?

Booking begins with a Pre-Booking Consultation, a quiet, no-pressure conversation where we see if your family and my work are the right fit.

After our call, you’ll receive your contract, invoice, and welcome materials.

What is your cancellation policy?

Your retainer is non-refundable, but you may reschedule with at least 48 hours notice.

If you choose not to reschedule, the retainer remains non-refundable since it covers your reserved date and planning.
