Winter break as a child always meant cuddling up on the couch, cozy under a blanket, and reading the days away.
I love watching my own daughter’s relationship with stories take shape – the comfort she finds in returning to the same familiar books, again and again.
It’s moments like these that inspired me to bring my camera inside the home, rather than just reserving it for golden hour. Outside offers space, movement, and novelty. Home is about intimacy, closeness, and repetition. Each holds something the other cannot, and together they tell a fuller story.
I’m looking forward to stepping into other families’ homes to quietly document the regular and the routine – the small moments that often feel ordinary now, but are the ones remembered years from now.
